If you have ever been SEO spammed for dick keywords then you know that it can hurt, a lot.
While your busy building your white hat empire, hanging out in SEOmoz G+ circles, there is always some spammer that would love to snag some of your hard earned link juice.
And since a nice outreach email won’t work, your neighborhood dick pill spammer has to resort to alternate methods.
If you’re lucky, then you have only encountered some quality comment or forum spam. But the real nasty spam injections are what causes the real damage.
Specifically, spam pages that are only visible to SE spiders. Sure it’s old school, but it happens!
I wont waste your time with tips on security or even drop a link because that’s not my department. But I will show you how to set up a few Google alerts so you can have the watch dog himself give you a ding if spam hits the index.
Go to: http://www.google.com/alerts
Marvel at its beautiful interface and punch yourself if you haven’t been using G alerts for some aspect of your business.
Use the following modifier to set up a series of alerts.
site:yourdomain.com “dirty spam word 1”
site:yourdomain.com “dirty spam word 2”
site:yourdomain.com “dirty spam word 3”
etc.
Set how often to “As-it-Happens” and bang your done.
Here is a list of some of some top spam words I whipped up real quick and screen shotted, enjoy ;-)
