Recently it occurred to me that Scrapebox does exactly the same thing as ubersuggest but even better.
It’s actually incredibly simple and I think most people are going to have that “damn I can’t believe I didn’t think of this moment” here in a second.
Use the “Append A-Z” button to take care of business, Scrapebox style.
Your keyword will now be merged perfectly with the list of letters like this.
keyword a
keyword b
keyword c
etc…
Paste in your keyword, click “Append A-Z” and hit start.
Once complete, you can even send left and scrape some more suggestions based of those suggestions. Remove dupes, and repeat.
Also note under the scraper suggestions tab you can choose which source for Scrapebox to pull suggestions from. Say you’re doing some keyword research for Youtube, this will give you an edge.
If you’re thirst for suggestions still isn’t quenched then merge a list with a-z + a-z for double the fun. To learn more about the swiss army knife of SEO, check out my ScrapeBox tutorial for over 9,000 words of scrapey goodness.
Now sit back and laugh at all those people thinking Ubersuggest is amazing.
Yes it works really good, but it’s even easier than that. Just type SEO in the keyword scraper, and click the “Append A-Z” button and it will add all the letters of the alphabet automagicially.
Also if you set the Level option to 2 it will auto rerun the scraped keywords from the first scrape to get more suggestions. Set it to 4 levels and it will go nuts with keywords lol.
But the merge thing is handy, i’ve used it to merge USA states with keywords to get localized keyword suggestions etc.
Holy shit, I can’t believe I’ve never noticed the “Append A-Z” button. Just edited the post, thank Ted!
i like ubbersuggest. i will probably like scrapebox too. i like the wizard of oz. i like the tinman.
I like penguins. Especially when I use Scrapebox to generate piles of anchor text variations.
No problems with Pandas, not sure what that’s all about.
I like coffee.
I did a video on this recently and I took it a couple steps further including numbers and wild cards. I was able to scrape over 11,000 keywords from 1 keyword, using scrapebox.
I also created the merge file I used in the video and its available for free download along with instructions here:

If anyone is interested.
Thanks for stopping in Matt!
SB is still a bad ass tool, but you should look into gscraper or worm poster too
Thanks for posting this! I was just doing some research to compare these two tools.
I use scrapebox on a daily basis and it really helps with all the great addon’s they have. The price is not bad at all, thanks for the post Jacob!
“Now sit back and laugh at all those losers still using Ubersuggest.”
Ubersuggest is a great tool and was always different from Scrapebox. Web based versus desktop app for instance, and if you looked closely at the details, Ubersuggest can help new SEOs quickly distinguish keywords by volume (head vs long tail). I love use/both tools, even though I’ve developed my own personal scrapers.
My problem is the way you just HAD to include that last little shot at a tool that was developed on someone’s spare time and offered for free to help out so many people. Not cool.
*views are personal*
Duly noted.
you forgot to mention scrapebox is $97 and ubber is dam free :)
$57 actually if you hit the BHW link.
But what self respecting SEO doesn’t own a copy of Scrapebox?!
Yeah scrapebox is great and it’s not just for what it’s known for which is spamming to random blogs. Some of the addons are great also like the backlink checker.
No doubt scrapebox is ultimate software for keyword research and blog commenting am big fan of it and using daily to get the keyword suggestions which keyword planner doesn’t give me in detail. Also one thing i like about SB is i can deep dive with more suggestions by using different level (one can find this level in new update)
i like both scrapebox and ubersuggeste but now i prefer scapebox bec its feature are uniqe and helpful
Sure you do, almost like a manual link drop. Is there a $.10 an hour VA on the other end of this one?
Hey Jacob can you tell me what I am missing? ubersuggest.org – Free, scrapebox.com – $97.00 USD?
Please direct me to the right link where I can find more information?
Hey Paul, yeah Uber is free but I assume that most IM/SEOs have a copy of SB, but if not then doesn’t really make sense to just snag for solely this purpose, although you have way more options to play with suggestions, massive suggestions in SB.
Which is $57 actually, there is a BHW discount. This post is bullshit really, disregard.
Funny, your post ranks #2 on ‘ubersuggest’ keyword. Leveraging it’s popularity?
Not really, just messing around.
Thank you Jac for the trick :)
Thank you very much for this nice article!
I will try the scrapebox. It is great.
Hello Jacob,
Can you recommend some other free tools besides Ubersuggest? I know Scrapebox is cool but I can’t fork out that much money for their licence at the moment… After some Googling I found http://keywordtool.io/ubersuggest-alternative. Seems solid… Any other tools you would recommend to check out?
Thanks!
Nicolas
Nothing free I can think of, Scrapebox you should have no matter what. Then Semrush I love, but paid monthly of course.
Hi Jacob,
I have been using this method since you shared this method but I have some concern about this method.
When I run the same datalist with KeywordTool.io it gives me more keywords than Scrapebox nowadays.
What do you think about that ?
KeywordTool.io beats you think Scrapebox for that functionality ?
