You’re an SEO, you play the game like the rest of us, but then why are you still broke?
Besides the obvious reason (just plain sucking ass at SEO), the problem could be with the way you think…
In business, having a narrow perspective can be one of the biggest deterrents of success.
How big do you dream? What would an incredible day in affiliate commissions look like to you?
If the answers to these questions are things like, “not having to work a day job”, or “just making a good living”, then chances are you will most likely stay broke.
If you can’t dream big, then you really can’t expect anything too extravagant out of life.
Let’s look at some fun products that make me literally lose faith in humanity knowing people actually buy this shit:
1. Check out the “Black Hat Hit Man“…
Watch the first 30 seconds of this video, enough said. “Mad backlinks…”
2. Take a look at some Warrior forum special offers. Do people really think someone is going to give away their secret sauce for $7? For those that do they should go punch themselves in the face repeatedly.
3. ClickBank, that’s all I’m going to say.
Sorry folks but the real secrets remain exclusive and the SEOs that figure them out don’t go putting together a sales page on how to make $3,439.65 per day. Actually they are on a beach somewhere getting shit faced.
So what’s the takeaway here…
Realize how value works in this world. And remember the old adage; “you don’t get something for nothing”, this applies to most transactions. Take that one with a grain of salt :)
And start dreaming big, get ridiculous.
Here is an example: In five years I will be on my private 200′ yacht (which is also a hovercraft) cruising to the island of “Tiramisu”. That’s right the island is name after a dessert. Why? Because I own that shit and named it.
Now go SEO something and CRUSH!!
Hi Jacob, I enjoy reading your posts. Actually 4 different tabs (including this one) is open in. I have been following this whole SEO shenanigans. Having read “The True Cost Of Black Hat SEO” and other killer posts, I started thinking to myself, maybe, just maybe I should delve into this. I have a website and have been doing this the white hat way for about 2 years. The truth is I get bored easily, writing articles in a site that few people visit. It gets worse. Its really hard to stay motivated when all I see in google adsense is 0.18 as the days earnings.
I want to make money being a bad ass SEO and monetizing my knowledge. So I am putting the pieces of the puzzle together. I have managed (in a few days) to wrap my head around VPS’s, UD, GSA SER, GSA CB, scrapebox. squidproxy (and I know they are pussies, cos I have tried subscribing), buyproxy(rocks!), content spinning, tier 1, 2, 3 links and many other SEO shit. One thing that constantly eludes me is how to monetize all these. Am I going to be posting affiliate links on my money sites, or create information products? I cant just make the link from the net to my bank. Now its a little harder here (I am in Nigeria!), cos clickbank doesnt accept residents in Nigeria. Can i use some other affiliate company like amazon? I am really confused here. I have read your “The Link Building Empire” it helped a great deal. Is “site you want to rank” the money site?
please help
thanks and nice blog!
This hits right on the spot. When I was younger, I bought every ebook I could afford because of the amazing videos of people driving lambos and filming in private jets as they showed “real, live earnings”. I never made a dime and learned the hard way.
I’m finally getting serious about SEO. I reached out to Charles at Godlike SEO and he recommended your site and only 2 others for actionable content to begin learning and practicing SEO.
Looking froward to reading more of your content and applying it once I overcome the fear of failing once more lol.
